I have been allergic to cats for the last 20 some years. If I was around a cat, my eyes would swell and I would have trouble breathing the next couple days. I decided to have the cat allergy treatment. I could not be around cats for 25 hours after the treatment, which was not a hard thing to do. A few days later I decided to visit my daughter who has two cats. Her house never has the windows or doors open so I thought she would be a great place to test. I played with her cats and thought oh no my eyes are going to swell and I’m not going to be able to breathe. But nothing happened.  I’m excited that I can now visit my daughter at her house.

I work for an insurance company In Des Moines. After a few years I noticed my allergies flared up at work and never at home. It got worse and worse. I was being treated for allergies by Dr. MacKenzie and told him about the issue. He told me to bring in some “air” or dust and come see him. So I did – I swiped a piece of saran wrap across my desk and PC, sealed it in a Ziploc bag and brought it to Dr. MacKenzie. After 1 treatment, my work allergies were gone! I worked in that building for several more years with no problems.

I have found Dr. MacKenzie to be one of the most caring physicians I have dealt with. I’ve been to many doctors as I have a chronic illness and he is one of the best. My health challenges are quite extensive but Dr. MacKenzie never gave up. The allergy elimination technique is, I believe, a step along the way to enhanced health for me.

I had abdominal surgery – which was successful. After about 1 ˝ weeks I got violently ill. My surgeon ran tests and I had a full blown staff infection. They put me on antibiotic. As long as I took them I would stop vomiting  - as soon as the antibiotic were gone, I would get violently ill again.

Dr. Don came to my house to treat me. He cleared me and helped my body fight the infection. He treated me 3 times a week for about 2 months. He is the reason I am here today. With out him the infection would have won.

Grandson Hunter arrived in Iowa at my home when he was 9 months old at only 17 pounds. He wasn’t the best eater and he had a hard time keeping food down.

By the time Hunter was 2, a half hour after he would eat or sooner he would be forcefully vomiting. I finally told my daughter in law something was wrong, he should not be doing this. I suggested that we take him to my Chiropractor, Dr. Don MacKenzie who I dealt with for almost 35 years. If he couldn’t find out what the problem is, then we would try Iowa University Hospital. She agreed so I made the appointment.

By the time we got to the appointment Hunter was really in trouble because his asthma was acting up and he was having difficulty breathing. If Fawn had of been home she would have put him on the Breathing Machine called a Nebulizer. Fawn was also very sure that Hunter was Lactose intolerant.

Fawn was beginning to think we were going to have to take hunter to the hospital because he was really struggling to maintain.

Dr. Don came out and I explained that Hunter was scared to death of Doctors, So Dr. Don went in the back room and got a plastic bag and came out and sat down and asked Hunter to pick a buddy out of the bag. Then he had Fawn take him back to the examination room. Dr. Don had this little black box that had a wire attached to the box and a small rod that he had Fawn hold onto as she held Hunter in her lap. The little box had places where he could insert these glass vials with different ingredients that most people are commonly allergic to. Sure enough Hunter was allergic to milk.

Then Dr. Don placed the Rod under Hunters clothes nest to his body and left it there for 10 minutes. When Dr. Don came back he instructed us not to take Hunter anywhere near milk for 24 hours because what he had done was desensitized Hunter and the 24 hours later give him a glass of milk.

The most amazing part if the whole visit was the change that took place with Hunter. He was so sick and felt so bad when we went into the back room but after his treatment Hunter walked out of this room like a brand new boy. It was incredible, even the girls at the desk were amazed at the change in Hunter.

From that day Hunter has never thrown up or had an asthma attack and he drinks milk like the rest of us. You can bet my daughter-in-law is impressed and incredibly happy that her son is back to being a normal healthy well little boy.

Just as an added point Fawn has be lactose intolerant all her life and she went back later and had the same thing done for her and she now is able to drink milk for the first time in her life. Truly grateful, Sandy R., grandmother, Barnes City, IA

I have not purposely eaten chocolate for over thirty years since it would give me migraines. Any amount, even a min tootsie roll would trigger one! Dr. Don cleared me for chocolate…imagine my amazement when I ate my first piece of chocolate without a migraine. Yesterday I enjoyed my first piece of homemade French Silk Pie on over 20 years! Thanks a lot to Dr. Don for offering such alternative health techniques, makes my social life more enjoyable!
